The Client
The British Columbia Civil Liberties Association (BCCLA) is a non-governmental organization whose purpose is to "preserve, defend, maintain and extend civil liberties and human rights in Canada". They are unaffiliated to political groups. 
It was founded in 1962 by a group of individuals and is the oldest civil liberties group in Canada. Based in Vancouver, its income proceeds mainly from membership and donations, plus grants and other sources.
